MENTAL HEALTH RESPONSE SPECIALIST - This forty hour program is specifically designed for law enforcement officers and is co-certified by Police Training Institute and the Mental Health Assn. of Cincinnati and will train police officers to de-escalate/stabilize mentally ill persons; write holds; resources; less-than-lethal options; legal issues; and includes a reverse ride-a-long with a mental health professional. The certification is valid for two years.
